In a relatively out of the way room in the mansion (though one with a great number of books and a window seat with a good view, so it may be one that people still frequently go into it), a scene is set.
When somebody enters the room, they will immediately notice a gun lying on a side table in front of them; that gun is a shining silver color, in immaculate condition, and onto the side of it, a strange and detailed silver insignia is etched. Nothing else in the room is of note aside from the gun, so someone may choose to pass by if they aren't intrigued by it. However, if they are, they might walk over to the side table and pick it up, and in that position, they would be able to notice a body sprawled out on the floor on the other side of the couch, gunshot wound to the head from the exact position that they're standing in. Their fingerprints would be on the gun, they would probably be too shocked to move, and, most importantly, they would be in the perfect situation for someone to walk in on them and accuse them of murder.
The body once belonged to a bum who was living a relatively dead-end life out on the streets (the ragged jacket and the discarded wine bottle might hint at that), but now belongs to a tableau set up by one Ryan Pendergast.
A scene is set, and it's now simply waiting for the actors.
